SISSI

Intermodal System Integrated for Security and Signaling on Rail

The SISSI project is a three-year project focusing on the design and development of a multi-sensor portal for train safety. SISSI is funded by the Region of Tuscany and MICC contributes its expertise in video and image analysis to the project in order to analyze passing cargo trains and measure and detect critical situations.

The SISSI project involves the exploitation of high speed sensors, both linear and matrix, in the visible spectrum and thermal spectrum in order to measure critical factors in passing cargo trains.

Multi-Target Tracking using sparse Reconstruction

Multi-target Tracking using Sparse Data Association

Multi-target visual tracking is the robust and accurate prediction of target locations in video streams. It is a fundamental component in many video surveillance systems which must identify and localize people, cars, and other moving objects in real time. Depending on the application scenario, a video surveillance system might be required to track targets over short sequences (e.g. in tightly-controlled and well-defined areas), or for very long sequences (e.g. in large and relatively constrained scenes).
