It is about to start the new edition of the master’s degree in Multimedia Content Design of the University of Florence. The Master provides the knowledge and tools necessary for qualified entrance into the world of digital media. The master has two specializations: Interactive Media, which provides competence for the design and implementation of content for the web and mobile devices, interactive multimedia applications and new solutions to human-computer interaction; and Video Post-production which provides editing and compositing skills for digital video, 3D modeling and animation. On Friday, 2011 July 22 from 21.30, in the magnificent scenery of the limonaia of Stibbert Museum in Florence, will be held the MMM Night, the of the twelfth edition of the Master in Multimedia Content Design, University of Florence. In collaboration with MICC Media Integration and Communication Center.

The Rector’s Decree for the Master in Multimedia aa 2010-2011 was published today.
The Master in Multimedia is a post graduate course of the University of Florence recognized as a first level university master and provides the knowledge and tools necessary for the employment in qualified digital media industries. The duration is one year.

The specializations are: Interactive Environments (Internet applications, multimedia installations for art and cultural heritage) and Video Post Production (computer graphics and special effects). It also includes an internship for a period of three months.

Yesterday we (Daniele Pezzatini and me) attended the WebTech Conference at the Holiday Inn Assago in Milan with a short talk on AIR applications on multi-touch surfaces, a talk on how to develop AIR applications that allow multi-touch and multi-user interaction on wide screen surfaces. We presented the implementation of technical solutions and the main development frameworks, as well as some application examples including the work done within the project MediaPick developed by Daniele Pezzatini and designed by Matteo Mancini at MICC.
