Long Bio
Girolamo Macaluso was born in Prato in 1999. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Florence in 2021. In 2023, he completed the Master’s programme in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Florence with the thesis “Enhancing Offline Reinforcement Learning with Generative World Models”.
He was a PhD student and Research Fellow at the Media Integration and Communication Center (MICC), University of Florence, under the supervision of Prof. Andrew D. Bagdanov. His research focused on Reinforcement Learning and its real-world applications, with the aim of improving the stability and efficiency of reinforcement learning algorithms in practical scenarios.
He is currently Software Engineer at Google in Warsaw.
