Long Bio
Lamberto Ballan was a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Florence and Stanford University, supported by a Marie Curie Fellowship from the European Commission under the FP7-2013-IOF programme.
He received his PhD in Computer Engineering, Multimedia and Telecommunication from the University of Florence in 2011. In 2010, he also spent a period at the Signal and Image Processing Department at Telecom ParisTech, France.
His research interests focused on computer vision and multimedia, particularly on exploiting large-scale data for visual recognition problems.
He is currently Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Padova.
