Matteo Marulli Document analysis, Computer vision & NLP

PhD Student and research fellow at Media Integration and Communication Center (MICC) at the University of Florence, under the supervision of Prof. Marco Bertini

Matteo Marulli was born on 4 April 1992. He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Florence, discussing a thesis entitled ‘Video Restoration and Visual Quality Enhancement Using U-Net Based Networks’, supervised by Professor Marco Bertini. For this thesis, he received the prize for the best thesis awarded by the DIMAI department of the University of Florence.

Before undertaking his PhD in Information Engineering (38th cycle), he worked as a junior data scientist consultant at Data Reply. His main research interests include document analysis and the intersections between computer vision and natural language processing.
