Call For Demos and Exhibits

The 25th International Conference on Pattern Recognition invites researchers from both academia and industry to submit applications to present live demonstration of their research results and systems. Demos are intended as real, practical, and possibly interactive proofs of the presenters’ research ideas and scientific or engineering contributions. They should provide the audience the opportunity to discuss working systems, applications and prototypes based on leading edge research, and to discuss and interact in first person with the researchers presenting the demo.

Guidelines for submitting proposals

Submissions are encouraged for demos covering all areas of interest of Pattern Recognition, including Computer Vision, Robotics and Intelligent Systems, AI and ML solutions for Pattern Analysis, Human Analysis, Biometrics, Media Understanding and Image and Signal Processing.

All submissions will be reviewed. Authors are expected to submit a two-page article (excluding references) following the ICPR 2020 template, describing the content of the demo (what the audience is expected to see and interact with) and its technical and scientific value and novelty with respect to existing systems. Authors are also encouraged to submit additional materials to showcase the demo, in the form of a PDF document and/or a video.

Proposal assessment

Each proposal of demo will be assessed based on its scientific and technical merit, novelty, and overall relevance to the conference topics.

Facilities

Once accepted, demonstrators will be provided with a table, poster board, power outlet and wireless Internet. Presenters are expected to bring with themselves everything else needed for setting up and running the demo, such as hardware, laptops, sensors, PCs, etc. Requests of a larger space, special lighting and other conditions will be taken into account.
