Yahoo YStar! donation of 98 servers by Yahoo YSTAR

In Yahoo has donated 98 servers to Prof. Marco Bertini for his research and teaching activity carried on at MICC. This donation has been done within the Yahoo YSTAR (Yahoo Servers to Academic Researchers) program, under which Yahoo refurbishes and donates used servers to academic research institutions.

The 98 donated servers come in 3 cabled racks, and consist of dual processor DELL and HP servers, resulting in a cluster with more than 1000 cores and 2TB RAM. The cluster will be used both for research and educational activities.
