Long Bio
Alberto Baldrati is a Research Scientist at the Samsung AI Center in Cambridge, UK, where he focuses on computer vision and machine learning research.
He completed his PhD in February 2025 as part of the AI Italian National Doctorate programme at the University of Pisa. During his PhD, he was hosted by the University of Florence and worked at the Media Integration and Communication Center (MICC) under the supervision of Prof. Marco Bertini and Prof. Andrew D. Bagdanov.
His research at MICC focused on vision and language, with particular attention to prompt learning and composed image retrieval, as well as fashion image generation, multimodal fashion image editing and virtual try-on. As part of his PhD, he also worked as a Computer Vision Research Scientist intern at Huawei Finland Research Center from March to September 2024, where he worked on video generation.
