Researcher in Computer Vision at the Media Integration and Communication Center (MICC) under the supervision of Prof. Alberto Del Bimbo.

Andrea Salvi was born in Montevarchi on February 28th 1989. He received Master’s Degree in computer engineering from the Univeristy of Florence in April 2016 with the thesis “Compact Hash Codes for Efficient Visual Descriptors Retrieval”.

Currently he is working as a research fellow at the Media Integration and Communication Center (MICC) at the University of Florence, under the supervision of Prof. Alberto Del Bimbo and Prof. Marco Bertini.

His main research interests are data structures based on hashing techniques for image retrieval systems and video surveillance tasks.
