Leonardo Pampaloni is an AI Engineer and Researcher at the Media Integration and Communication Center (MICC), University of Florence. His research focuses on deep learning and 3D computer vision, with a particular interest in geometric understanding and neural representation learning.

He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Software Engineering with honors, specializing in Big Data and Distributed Systems. His academic path bridges theoretical research and engineering practice, combining algorithmic innovation with large-scale experimental work.

In 2025, Leonardo began a collaboration with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) as an AI Researcher in Computer Vision, contributing to ongoing projects on 3D face reconstruction and geometric learning. His current work continues in close collaboration with CHOP, advancing research at the intersection of medical imaging and 3D AI.
