MICC - Media Integration and Communication Center

From June 2014 the Laboratory L3 of MICC directly cooperates with the Scientific and Technological Department of the Italian Minister under a research agreement.

The main goal of such a collaboration is to carry out basic research on information forensics and security and to develop forensic instruments to be applied within real application scenarios.

The research collaboration between MICC and the Scientific and Technological Department of the Italian Minister has different objectives from detecting manipulation in digital image, to acquisition device identification, up to forensic security and counter-forensics.

In particular, thanks to this cooperation, a method for detecting copy-move forgery from printed pictures has been developed and various publications have been produced.
